Adam Eggemeyer, MBA, CFRE Deputy Director of Gift Planning Fundraising The Nature Conservancy Adam Eggemeyer serves as the Deputy Director of Gift Planning Fundraising for The Nature Conservancy. In this role, he supervises a team of Regional Gift Strategists who work with trustees, supporters, and colleagues collaboratively on outright, blended, and deferred giving and strategy, especially regarding gifts of complex assets like stock, retirement assets, and real estate. Prior to joining the Conservancy a decade ago, Adam spent nine years in gift planning at Lutheran Hour Ministries, an international charity doing religious and humanitarian work. Before making the shift to philanthropy, Adam worked in financial services with Edward Jones and State Farm, holding his investment and insurance licenses. Adam is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and has earned a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and an M.B.A. from Webster University in St. Louis. He resides in Southern Illinois with his wife and three children, and serves as the Past President of the Board of Trustees for the Saint Louis Planned Giving Council, from which he earned their Distinguished Service Award in 2025. In his spare time, he loves to coach softball, do genealogy work, and travel. |

Sherrie Beal Associate Director of Gift Planning/Regional Gift Strategist The Nature Conservancy Sherrie Beal joined The Nature Conservancy’s staff in 2000 and worked in major gifts for the Minnesota Chapter before joining the global Gift Planning Department in 2007. She was a gift planning officer covering most of the Central U.S. until 2022 when she became a full-time regional gift strategist/associate director of gift planning with a territory that now includes 8 states (and a shared territory with Adam that encompasses 13 states). In her work in Gift Planning, Sherrie has often leaned into her experience and expertise in health care and land protection to help donors and their families to avoid estate planning blunders that she has witnessed personally and professionally. Having personally served as an executor and power of attorney and coordinated hospice care with her parents’ healthcare providers, she is particularly skilled at having authentic conversations about planning for the inevitable. Sherrie has a BA in English/writing from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN and an MBA in nonprofit management from the University of St. Thomas, St Paul, MN. Prior to coming to TNC, she was the development/communication director for Minnesota’s state-wide land trust and before that worked in health care. Sherrie resides in Minneapolis, MN with her husband Brad, a former chef. Their family includes a grown son and three rescue pets (dog and cats) and Sherrie often volunteers on weekends at a horse rescue (where she also serves as the point person on planned gifts). |
